Simple Threaded Chat

Threader is an easier and more joyful way to chat with your team. And we mean just chat. Threader will not replace your email, file sharing, or kitchen sink (looking at you, Slack).

But Slack has threading?

Yes, but Slack's threaded conversations are hidden in the sidebar. Conversation should be natural. It should flow. With Threader's colored threads, more than one conversation can happen at once without anything being lost or hidden.

See it in action

Threader automatically sorts these conversation threads by color. It's easy to see and separate different conversations.

Focus on a thread

Click on a message to open the thread in the sidebar.

Keep every message organized

Make a mistake? Just drag the message to the thread.

Share as you like

Share conversation threads or individual messages with ease.

No lost threads

Don’t sweat returning from a long lunch or a week-long vacation. Every message is right there in the main thread, never hidden.

We're in private beta while we perfect Threader. Sign up to join when we're ready to expand testing.
About Us

Threader is part of the Expected Behavior product family.

We're a group of friends who like to build software together. Sometimes we work together in our office; sometimes we work from home. Or sometimes from Key West or the French Alps.

We mostly work via Basecamp, but chat keeps us connected when we need synchronous communication or just want a place to goof off and post memes.

Yah, we've been frustrated for years with "modern" chat tools trying to replace our entire workflow. Open-source alternatives are clunky and hard to use.

Now, we've solved our itch with Threader. It's fast, easy, and a joy to use. We hope you like it too!
